HI everyone, I'm Paul from Barton upon Humber (Basically the other side of the water from Hull). Last bike was a Triumph Sprint ST1050 which was nice!.. Had the poster of the Urban Tiger on my bedroom wall in 1994 and could only dream of owning 1 then, so when I saw the new one I had to have one and picked it up last Saturday. Jesus what a bike! All the reviews and vids I watched were right it's an amazing machine in just about every way. So far only added a tank pad and brake reservoir wrist band things, oh and taken out the baffle from that Acrapovic exhaust so the Tiger really roars now! Anyway looking forward to reading about other peoples upgrades and useful tips hopefully Cheers for now.
Hi Paul, fairly new on here myself so still trying to find my way round. Nice bike... They really are an awesome machine. I've had a 4 month spell without one and only got another about a fortnight ago. I'd forgotten how good they are until I headed off to the lakes on Saturday via Teesdale.... Still smiling... I'm pretty sure that you'll enjoy your bike. I've ridden the ST and it is a nice quick bike, but the quickness of the turns on a Blade for me just opens up a whole new world.
Hi Nick, that's the biggest difference for me mate how light it is, you're right the handling makes it such a different experience.... Bet the roads around the lakes are great to ride, is that your neck of the woods then? Or did you specifically travel to ride them? Cheers
I'm top end of Teesside, bottom end of Co. Durham if that makes sense. I'm straight on it when I come off my drive as I'm in a small village surrounded by twisties. Sometimes need to remember that I would be better off getting a bit of warmth in my tyres as the 1st bend is only 100 yds from home haha... Didn't set off particularly for the lakes but the ride up through Teesdale to Alston is one of my favourites. Keeps you on the money so to speak....
