I've just acquired the above compressor from my old man, however it does have a fault. It doesn't cut out when the tank is full, it just blows off emptying the whole tank and then refilling (so its permanently on). Anybody know what I'd need to get it sorted? Thanks, Rob
Does the blow off valve work manually? i.e. if you stop the motor part before the tank is full can you bleed air off manually through the blow off valve?
Not sure tbh, I'll have to give it a try this week. If it does bleed manually what would that suggest?
At the risk of sounding obvious you need a new high pressure switch that's all. Most parts available at here https://www.machinemart.co.uk/shop/...nsumables/type/any/module/shopcategory/page/1
Where does the air blow off from the safety valve or from elsewhere? Safety valve should look something like below pic. The pressure switch as below pic is most likely the cause of your problem, it normally has a screw adjuster under the plastic cover which might be sticking or needing adjusted, once correct pressure builds up in the tank the pressure switch cuts power to the motor and power cuts back once pressure in the tank drops below threshold.
