Anyone know of any places that refurb bike wheels?

Wheels are good, just need color change to the Repsol Orange.

    I am in London.

I was thinking it word cost near £100, but checking wheel works site they want £200!

Also anyone know the repsol wheel color code?

    Any idea's

    Need to get quotes asap.

Try Lepsons mate, but I doubt they will do a pair for a ton, if not Central Wheels Birmingham.

I was quoted £180 for the pair by a bodyshop, also price may depend on whether you do the prep work or they do it, as it that what takes the labour and makes a big difference to the final finish.
I ended up doing them myself as I have all the kit, the main issue is having the appropriate space and the paint fumes, using a decent respirator.

As for the paint codes, they are on here somewhere

I got my car wheels done from alloyart and BJV recently...even though I was semi happy for the price..wheels were not 100%.

Pin holes etc...they said its just the way the alloy reacts to the chemicals..

Does the same apply to bike wheels?

Where in London are you? If you are East then this place in Rayleigh (Nr Southend) are really good, I think it was £60 a wheel my mate had done but not 100% sure, plus he took the wheels down there with the Tyres off so that saved some money too

I just rung them myself about powder coating my wheels with an Orange metal Flake in them and it was £60 per wheel if i took the tyres off and delivered and collected them
But the price goes up if you want them painted rather than powder coated or if you want specialist colours

A pair of wheels powder coated for £100 is about right.

The prep is everything, make sure they acid dip them to remove the old finish rather than blast them.

Also make sure they use the right powder ( there are several different types ), what you need is polyester.

I had my Car wheels done by BJV and they are my powder coaters of choice. Worth the journey for the job they do. Promo polishing might need to be checked out, as they're just round the corner.

I really like the Yamaha purple/blue colour they are adding to their new range, but appreciate it wouldn't work on a repsol blade lol.

We have used them in the past, and can't recall any issues.
It's all relative, they have colours and finishes nobody else has.
We buy powders from all of the big names, but most don't do much on the specialist finishes.
