Guys, i'm getting my blade next Saturday so naturally I'm already looking at an exhaust system, due to funds being a little low at the moment I'm looking to fit the best exhaust i can with having to fit a PC straight away.

On the BR special tuning website it states that this exhaust does not need mapping at all. coming from a background of tuning cars that confuses me as its a De-cat system.

Can anyone shed some light on this, i don't want to waste money and i especially don't want to damage my engine.

For that price I'd get the Leo Vince GP style. My advice would be to get a pc and have a custom map done, every bike is different and you'll know it's spot on!

I'd love the Leovince but will it include the de-cat for that money?

I'm going to get a Power Commander but will have to be the month after and I was hoping to run the exhaust without damaging the engine before I buy the PC.

What year is your bike? 08>11 (maybe later?) have the cat in the silencer so any slip in would decat it. I can't say whether or not it'll be fine, some people don't have a pc and encounter no probs.

Yeah it's an 11/60, I didn't realise the cat was in the can but that does make sense when you look at the size of it. It's just confusing that some say no map required and others state that you do.

I'd rather spend £450ish on an exhaust then another £250-350 a month later on a PC than spend £7-800 in one go that's all.

    Thanks mate.
