Well, whats been going on in here ?? Ive been awol for a few months, out there living the dream, and figured its about time for a catch up ! Been throwing more money at the Beastie, and she is now running beautifully ! Chucked some more carbon on her: Ive had a few issues along the way.... Got her all up and running nice, got her dyno'd and mapped and found the Mivv silencers were holding her back some what... Got a couple of vids on that saga: Then had a bit of an incident involving me falling from a ladder and her jumping out and breaking my fall :/ More trouble with the shitty Chinese fairings :/ So had to get that all repaired... Then while that was getting fixed i decided to throw even more money at her, and on the advice of my dyno guy, i changed the exhaust system to a full Akra (Which also had its fair share of dramas but i won't go into that :/) ! A day in the shed with some polishing mops got it all looking pretty tho !
Then while she was stripped down, thought id replace that scabby rad... And why not chuck a set of Samco's on too while i was at it... And why not a bit more carbon too Hmmm, and maybe a dirty great big HRC carbon intake scoop
Thought we'd best give her a good seeing to so ended up on the Odiham ARD track day with Mr LambChop and Womble and had a bloody brilliant time !! Obviously, thats not Womble, thats Red Renna on my bike... Womble was off somewhere meditating or something... She got a bloody good thrashing and performed wonderfully but was running as rich as hell due to the new exhaust etc and hadn't had the chance to get her re-dyno'd so had to run with a map off the dynojet site, which never works out too well, but she held her own...
Then fancied a bit of open road action so headed to Wales as a test run before the European mission in a few weeks
Finally got her back into HM Racing for my homie Tony to work his magic, and now she is running perfectly and making some proper power !! Another vid of them shenanigans will be up soon !
Cheers buddy ! Im in two minds with the velocity stacks as it will give it more power at the top end of the rev range, but you loose a bit mid range... All good if its living on a race track, but not so great when you can't give it harry flatters constantly ! Might reconsider after i get the head work and everything done in the winter when ill have way too much power anyhow and i won't miss a bit in the mid I really question if it really needs more power after the last dyno session and how the power slams in now... The front doesn't want to stay on the floor and the rear skips around on a bumpy road wanting to spin up, but hey ho, somethings you do purely because you can
Very entertaining, although I think a bit more footage with Keiran in ( probably starting with him pulling on his leathers...slowly ) would add a little more artistic merit
Hi Mate, Came across your thread while searching for other bits. Really fancy the rear camera myself. Just wondering what one you went for (as the prices vary so much) and where did you mount it once you changed the exhaust? I know I'm a year behind, but hope you could point me in the right direction? Many thanks! Chris
