I've got one of the Abba bike stands, it's an excellent piece of kit. After using it today and having no set place to store it it got me thinking. Anyone out there got a good idea how to store an Abba bike stand when not in use.

Buy another bike, then you can use it all the time, problem solved

Slide the two parts together, that way you can also retain the pins then screw a timber across the roof timbers then slide the long floor piece in across the timber to hang it.

Do these stands work with a conventional front paddock stand??
They look far sturdier than a rear paddock stand, and perfect for the winter storage, but wondered about the front stand.

Half the weight is already off the front when on the stand anyway, I jack the front with a sissor jack on the headers as there's not that much weight to lift

Who I bought the stand I also bought the front arm lift
It attaches to the Abba bike stand. Lifts both wheels off the ground . Perfect for storage.

Mr Chops, I noticed you doing that, when I sat over the past 2 days watching your full build diary. Awesome thing dude.
Abba are based 5 minutes from me so might pop in and see the guys.

    Cheers

If they've got any left, Abba are doing a deal on the front lift add on to the main stand....20% off i think. Great bit of kit.

I've just checked it out. I'm quite limited for space in my single garage, with my car and bike in there. Bike is across the front of the car. There is no way I can get a rear paddock stand on to it for basic work, when its shitty outside. This might prove to be a winner. Just need to think whether I should plump for the full kit or just stick with the standard Abba stand.

Get the full kit. I've got the stand and the front lift arm. Two fantastic bits of kit. Initial outlay is a bit expensive but well worth it. Awesome for winter storage too (if you're a fair weather rider), keeps the suspension stress free and the tyres from sitting in the same position. Great for cleaning as well.
