Sorry folks have to drop out. Got a big bill come up for the wife's car and have recently swapped from weekly invoicing to 30 days in arrears so cash is tight
Shame. Probably gonna be the last big ride out of the year. Next time though ehh. @SimonRR I may be a little earlier getting to you then.
@Muffking Sorry guys the blokes taken the day off now & wants to go to Oulton instead, have a good day & catch you another time.
Having a new pair of tyres fitted at demon tweaks in Wrexham so hope to catch you all at the ponderosa
Think I might of seen you there were 2 blades by the steps to the cafe . I left ponderosa about 1430 headed down to bala coming back up towards the ponderosa on the a494 think I passed you guys again going the other way. Hope u you had a good day out catch you again next time you are in north wales
Shulda said Lozzy? Me, Fireblade Ro, The Firebloke, Repsol Will etc were all at Oulton today! Shakey back on it! ;-)
Aww didn't know, was last minute decision as bloke was moaning his knackered hips wouldn't get round Wales ride out lol. Are you all there tomoz?
Nah, too tight to pay £32 2morrow, was only £18 today! Shall be sat in front of the Telly with a Box of Red 2morrow!
Here's the Welsh contingent on the Bala to Ffestiniog road after we missed you boys at the Pondarosa, however we did stay until 3 and I spoke to quite a few Blade owners asking if they were from the forum.
Yep I was there too. Parked near gateway red and white blade. Chatted with Richierich and Co. What happened to everyone else ?? Did they ever make it ??
I know that road well! Excellent run of tarmac! The road to Bala from Dolgellau end is excellent, but from Bala to Ffestiniog/Trawsfynydd is awesome! (If there's no traffic or police. Seen a few speed vans up there in the past). There's an excellent left hand bend on that road that cambers uphill on the exit. So much fun!! I popped out to Craven Arms --> Church Stretton --> Much Wenlock and back today for a short blast with the missus on the back. She was complaining that I didn't take her on the back very often so I took her to Quatt Cafe, then out. I don't think she'll complain about it in future. She got deafened by the Racefit pipe and a sore backside from the super slim pillion seat. I'll be out tomorrow around North Wales if anyone is out. Haven't got a dedicated plan yet, but I noticed the A490 from Craven Arms is sign posted for Welshpool and I've never been that way before. Normally go A5 and turn off headed for Mid Wales/Welshpool, usually with a stop off at Dinky's Diner. Possibly head to Bala, or Betws-y-Coed depending on time/weather etc.
Got back home at around 9:30 after 3 & a half tanks of fuel and feel like i've been beasted, Legs, arms & back are gonna feel it tomorrow. Rich's & I exchanged a few texts, but still managed to miss each other, although not by much. Didn't see Graham, but was on the look out for the HRC colours. Sorry to Simon & Carl for shooting off as we neared home. SWIMBO text me she wasn't feeling well, so I kept the pace up. Seen some fantastic scenery, well worth the miles. Will add photos to my next post.
Simon, Carl & me up in the mountains just south of Ponderosa By the lake south of Bala. Other side of the lake. Cheeky pic up near Oswestry.
