take front wheel off, loosen bottom triple clamp, then top clamp.drop fork.take off bar.

depending what our doing, might be easier to remove switch gear before hand.

That's pretty much how I did the ones on the track bike so i could cut the locating pins off to increase bar adjustment.

You could remove all the ancillaries then drop the clamp down and fit hinged clip ons until you're in a position to drop the forks.

    hinged motorcycle clipons

Harris do them, Demon Tweeks and Accossato (Mike from BDS on here)

    Ouch, that looks expensive.
How about removing the tank cover and damper then lifting the top yoke to remove it? Can that even be done? Don't see why not.

Looks like just the clipon, no need to lift or remove wheel for that

Yip you can, try looking online for the fitting instructions for helibars for the blade, it will give you the removal instructions for the clipons as well it's a doddle bud and no wheels off or lifting front involved

These ones are hinged so even if you are a complete arse (not saying you are!) then you could just drop the broken one down the fork for now and just open the clamp and hinge it open then re-clamp it around the fork.

    Heading to the bike soon..

Is it just that big bolt in the center that holds the top yolk in place?

Do I need to remove the tank cover to get this off? Or anything else?

Also do the switched slide out of the existing bar and onto the new? If so do the grips just twist off? Or shall I cut them off?

switches have small screws/nuts holding them in place on the underside, the centre bolt for top yolk is a 41 or 42mm socket if i remember rightly, taking the tank cover off is a 2 min job and the steering damper is just the one bolt/nut and off it pops. slide top yoke up and remove clipon upwards as well, then just reverse, don't lose the wee wire circlip type thing on the fork, you will see it
