Well guys I took a low speed tumble which was 100% my own stupid bloody fault! It all started on Wed 7th Oct when bringing my beloved Blade backwards out of the garage just before leaving for work! My R/H mirror caught the garage wall and snapped it at the base so I quickly taped it back on and headed to work! Later that day I had a proper look and secured it better! I was well P'd off!!! Anyhoo I thought I'll fix it over the weekend! Thursday I went to work all was fine, I left to come home and the mirror started to droop so I headed for a quiet road to try and fix it! I stopped without taking anything off and the bike ticking over I couldn't do anything with it so out of frustrating I blasted down the road heading for home! That's when I heard the sirens, I pulled over the policeman ask me "what the f@#k was that all about?" They had clocked me at 78mph on a 40! they sat me in the car, charged me and let me go on my not so merry way! With now less than a mile to go my mind full penalty points and fines! I came to the mini roundabout 100 yards from the house, I turn my bars to the left and I was slam dunked to the tarmac HARD! VERY HARD!!! I was only doing 10ish mph but the mirror lodge it self between the fairing and brake lever! With the momentum, bike weight and my weight, my left arm folded in two places at the elbow also at the middle of my forearm!!! How it was at roadside! Mr Radius and Ulna made an appearance out the side of my arm!! Eecckkk! After a couple of pints of ketamine they kinda straightened it for the night! Into theatre Fri mornin 3hrs of using bone putty, plating, screws and staples and it's as good as new! NOT!!!
mate sorry to hear that I was hoping it was going to be the same story as my slow off, bruised and battered bike only, hope you better soon.
Ouch Ouch ouch! that is crappy luck mate. Hope you get mended as good as new, if there is a bright side to be had it least its happened during the wet cold stuff season and not the start of good season!
Ah man, I was hoping reading that tale that there was going to be a joke or a punchline at the end....., sadly not! Really sorry to hear that, and wish you a quick recovery, and s kind hearted magistrate!
Was waiting for the punch line. Sorry there isn't one. What is it they say "if it wasn't for bad luck you would have no luck at all". Get well soon
Very nasty that hope it's no to painful, just recovering from a broken ankle myself but nothing like yours!
Cheers guys like Zip says it was good timing! Could have happened in the spring I have to say it did nip a bit lol I'm still on codeine and tramadol for pain! But the bike isn't that bad my left leg made sure the vulnerable casings are ok just scratches to tail unit & middle cowl they had to lift the bike off me! But she won't start no power or lights at all, I'll just hand her into Perth Honda when the time comes! I'll just get myself right first! 12 weeks should do it! Thanks again guys
