Just FYI (I haven't read through the whole thread) But dealers do not check your insurance anymore.

When I picked up my Panigale I took my cover note with me, and the sales guy said they didn't need it anymore and that bikes can be registered without insurance...

I had to provide evidence of insurance , so dealer could tax it before I collected

I have to provide insurance. They cannot tax the bike without you being insured.

Well..called them this morning...said they can't insure me on the bike...

Said they can however beat any UK quote by 10%! Don't know how...

So I got a online quite from a comparison site, and gave them the Link... Got my bike insured for £436 fully comp after the discount..

    Delivery arranged for this Friday..[emoji1]

Hmmm, you're right is isn't much different. Your decision mate but I know what I'd do - keep the 09 and put a bit of money aside each month until the 'new' blade comes out. By that time you'll have a good bit of cash to put down as well as the money from selling your bike. The 09 won't depreciate that much in the next year or two.

    Decisions decisions!

That's what they did with me, knocked 10% off my cheapest quote.

My excess is 'only' £500, Mce wanted £1500 excess !

I have to wait until 27th for mine to be delivered, by the time they fit the tail tidy, remove the rear foot pegs and swap the tyres to Supercorsas !

Went through the usual process I have sent them a screen grab of my quote from MCE for the RSV4 £238 lets see if they can beat it.
