Just FYI (I haven't read through the whole thread) But dealers do not check your insurance anymore. When I picked up my Panigale I took my cover note with me, and the sales guy said they didn't need it anymore and that bikes can be registered without insurance...
For some reason I'm not very excited. As I do like my 09, and this don't look that different. Maybe one its here..it will be different..lol
Hi Sam its only a bargain if you needed it in the first place. second thoughts and its not arrived yet!! Oh dear I'm sure you will be happy when the deal is done , roll on springtime
Strange, I didn't have to produce a thing, only my licence, granted it was only last month, I was told its a new law change...
Just get them to deliver it no ins needed unless it's finance, try Adelaide ins now corn market very cheap,or Allstyles they done my dommi for me and it was 32k ins was not too bad
oookay, so i was on MCE's insurance site.. did the quote, and it came to £400, so i went back and changed the anual milleage from 1000 miles to 2000miles.. quote went down to £140! seen this before with car insurance.. have triple checked the details.. finding my card to buy this quck
Well..called them this morning...said they can't insure me on the bike... Said they can however beat any UK quote by 10%! Don't know how... So I got a online quite from a comparison site, and gave them the Link... Got my bike insured for £436 fully comp after the discount.. Delivery arranged for this Friday..[emoji1]
Hmmm, you're right is isn't much different. Your decision mate but I know what I'd do - keep the 09 and put a bit of money aside each month until the 'new' blade comes out. By that time you'll have a good bit of cash to put down as well as the money from selling your bike. The 09 won't depreciate that much in the next year or two. Decisions decisions!
That's what they did with me, knocked 10% off my cheapest quote. My excess is 'only' £500, Mce wanted £1500 excess ! I have to wait until 27th for mine to be delivered, by the time they fit the tail tidy, remove the rear foot pegs and swap the tyres to Supercorsas !
Went through the usual process I have sent them a screen grab of my quote from MCE for the RSV4 £238 lets see if they can beat it.
They needed my login..and checked all the options while I was on the phone...then did mine like for like
I was at work when he rung me and there was a problem regarding keeping bike at my dads and he would have to contact the underwriters
Well got 3 days to get my old bike sorted and to my brothers garage to make room. 3 days to break the news to the wife....lol
On another note..looking at crash bungs..aero @ £65 require drilling or £200 odd for non drill ones...!!
