Anyone got one ? If so how durable is the matt paint finish ?

Not concerned about having to clean regular or it showing finger marks but concerned it could stone chip easily and end up looking crap after a few rides.

    Any help or advice welcome.

I guess it depends on the quality of the helmet. I have the Schuberth S2 Sport in matt black. In the 3 months I've had it the finish has held up very well, although the visor has a couple of dings from decent sized chips. I ride on a lot of roads that have been "surface dressed" so there's a lot of chips on our rides, but the helmet is fine, the front of the blade however is a different story

Got this Shoei XR1100 at the bike show in 2013 and still like new. I tend to give it a wipe with a damp cloth each time I use it.

How do you find the s2? Noise wise..?

Do you ride without ear plugs.

I have the GT-Air in Matt Black. It's great. After 18 months, there's no chips. I think there's probably 1 slightly white streak where I've obviously dragged it against something (Probably someones bag when walking through the street).

FWIW, same as my bike, I never clean the helmet itself... The rain does that :)

I don't ride with earplugs, I've got a Sena wired up to mine as I'm either hooked up to radio or music, but the wind noise is greatly reduced regardless. I can hear the comms & music clearly at higher speeds too, good helmet.
