After much though and arguments I took delivery of this mv agusta brutale 800 rr. It sits next to my blade and CB1300. Just need a dry warm November.
Absolutely beautiful bike, love these and I was to buy an upright, this would be the one. Congratulations, enjoy.
Lovely bikes. Keep us posted on how it goes and how you find ownership please. I'd love 1 but I'm still a bit worried about reliability and parts availability.
Was tempted by the 1090RR before I got the RSV4 thought there was 1 more sportsbike in me think next bike will be an upright.
Also love these. Probably the best looking standard production bike in the world for me. How does it ride? I'm currently on a s1000r but would consider one of these next.
I am no reviewer but I had my first ride today 110 miles. It has a very quick action throttle that in sport mode is instant much softer in rain mode, more like the blade. I have never had such a intense motorcycle ride, it's suspension is perfect riding position just right but seat is hard. The noise is intoxicating and it's impossible to run the bike in, like putting a fruit pastel in your mouth and saying don't suck let alone chew. The most fun I have ever had on a bike I can't think of anything I didn't like. Unless you count the engine noise that sounds like the big-end has gone and a bag of nails in a cement mixer. That all changes as you open the throttle and start moving, it likes to go fast and freely revs and howls. The engine mapping is super you can design your own, then there is the quick shifter going down the box from sixth to second with no cluch. This was £10100 well spend so far..
Wife said one has to go ether the mv or the blade. Well there is an alternative I said so she went to her mates.
I'm on the look out for a new bike next year and a MV would be on the list but also worried about the above
Do a search for mv agusta problems. There is not many. Main problem is people putting diesel into the tank according to one dealer. Regards Rob.
Looks stunning!! MCN reviewed them all, the Street Triple, MT-09, BMW F800 and Brutale and put the Brutale in last place due to poor throttle response and too focused reckons they were hard work. MT-09 front end was too firm and throttle response was uncontrolable and Street came tops again......we are talking about MCN though!! I am slightly biased as I will be purchasing the Street R but the looks are either love or loathe unfortunately. If anyone is in the market for an upright try the Street 675. It is a blast and the R gets better quality suspenders, four piston Nissins and is an inch higher. I believe an 800 version is out for the end of 2016.
That test was on the 2013 model and this throttle problem has been addressed completely. It also has 140 bhp up from 125. Anyway I am very happy so far.
Was out with a guy on one of these a few weeks ago and have to say the thing sounded dreadful, exactly as you say.
That's terrible news mate and not a good advert for the brand.... How many miles has it done? Was there any particular cause?? Hope you get it sorted soon.
165 miles, no idea what happened was doing 30 when it stopped. Had been treating her gently etc. Will find out on Monday I hope.
