See the dainese do they go over your boot or into your boot? It's a leather I have not looked into much. I like my Arlen ness ones but they are too tight and just thought I might go for a change this time. Only reason I was thinking of s two piece is I will be going to the Isle of Man tt next year and don't want to be walking about with leathers all over all day lol thought if could take the jacket off it would be decent
Had 4 different Dainese suits. No major problems except that the zip pullers are made of cheese. Now switched to Berik. Also nice leathers. Better quality liner and the zips seems a bit more solid.
Had Wolf two piece years ago when they came out, then three sets of Spyke one piece now on my second Daniese one piece
Tried a Laguna seca 2 piece, super nice but as already said jackets are too short to wear with jeans. Also they all have the hump which I didn't want. Ended up buying an Avro D1 jacket and delta evo c2 trousers which zip together. The jacket has a removable thermal liner so is practical and the delta has the boot to suit with the Velcro for the in boots, same as the 1 and 2 piece suits...
I've got RST Tracktech evo one piece, rate them highly take a bit of breaking in, but well comfy now. I Don't use the awful back protector that came with it, it was extremely uncomfortable with it, I use a proper one now. Also have an IXS suit for really hot day's(we do get some in Cornwall) as they have shoulder vents and about 5 million perforations!!!! Very surprised for a budget suit (From J&S) they hold up well in a spill according to a mate of mine. I don't want to find out!!!
Agree, but since I can't stretch to a Grand at the mo then Spidi are my next and current choice, they crash well too.
Dainese for me, mainly based on fit and looks. The '3d bubble' liners are great can be worn in our summers right into the depths of winter (with extra layers) I wear 2 piece as I mainly commute, but do find them more convenient if I need a dump on a track day! The in/out thing is more based on the boot design rather than the leathers, Dainese make their top of the line boots axial pro in the both the common outers and also in 'ins' as sported by VR46
As said, you need Dainese boots if you want them to fit under the leathers. Dainese trousers have big shin guards, if using other make of boots over them check they are still comfortable, I've not tried them but have read elsewhere that some find it annoying.
Had the Furygan crow jacket and pants for past 3 years. Coped well with a low speed spill. Titanium shoulder protector and hip armour both did the job[emoji106] Fits well and comfortable from day one. Three years on a few scuff marks from the spill otherwise still comes up like new with a few baby wipes.
Dainese Avro 2 piece when ever I'm stopping anywhere and also find them a little warmer for later in year as they have a quilted liner jacket and also loads of pockets so fine for a day out and they zip to pants like a one piece anyway. And Alpinestars SP1 one piece suit for a blast in summer, super cool with air mesh holes Userbility go 2 piece, summer blasts one piece, remember a one piece will never feel that comfy new and stood upright, they are not cut that way Never had an issue with the long Daniese shin guards and Alpinestars SM5 boots
RST CPX-C 2 piece. As for comments on RST elsewhere, heavy and takes a while to break in, replaced the supplied back protector. Worn all this year from early in March - commuting and weekend outings. Practical stuff - do clean up well and can help the breaking in with a liberal supply of leather balsam. Had a reasonable high speed off a few years back, when wearing RST, it didn't look pretty at the end of it, but key thing is it did it's job and the suit took the punishment of sliding down the motorway. Also just gone overboard and picked up a one piece Held for track time, when working out in the US ( Convinced myself couldn't miss the bargain). Only worn a couple of time so far, so not in a position to really give feedback.
Had a 2 piece Dainese for 3 years. I bought this from my local HG after trying on suits from Alpinestars, BKS, RST and Arlen ness. The Dainese seemed to fit me better, was comfortable to wear and even crashed well when I had the low side. Now have a 1 piece Rev'it hunter suit. Have only ridden in it twice but early indications are good. Its surprisingly comfortable despite being a race cut style suit. It does have the removable 3d mesh liner and adjustable shin armour. Seems to be well made and uses YKK zips throughout.
