Hi Racefit is £600 and yes it's best to have a pc with custom map*Edit* but not essential + adding £350 to the bill. I fitted an akropovic megaphone its cheaper and no pc needed runs really sweet and the noise is intoxicating. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SCARICO-A...285949?hash=item5d5e229fbd:g:bPUAAOSw9mFWH7ui ,
New bike time? +£500 more off if you take it on PCP. http://www.huntsmotorcycles.co.uk/OfferPages/cbr1000rr-abs-special-offer.htm
I found it on eBay. Cost £350 all in. New 1 is around the £500 mark. Sounds fantastic no power command runs fine.
Same here, that Akra is my favourite exhaust for the blade (no offence OP) why don't they make something similar for 08-13 ? I know the link pipes/cat are different but it's the nicest shape, end tip and bracket set up (hate those strap types) Any sound clips on the net ?
Sound clip off my facebook. https://www.facebook.com/paul.allen.9/videos/855275271219065/?pnref=story Read this thread too http://1000rr.co.uk/threads/racefit-or-akra-slip-on.27447/
Thanks. I must be going loopy as I posted in that other thread too. It really does sound great and looks proper. Jealous !
Dave V has one... runs sweet on his, done thousands of miles.... never been dyno'd... isnt running rich etc etc etc. No PCV. Racefit also offered money back if it didnt run right straight out the box. Agreed a dyno and PCV would help (as with any bike) to maybe iron a few things out but by no means essential...
From my experience, more risk of running lean rather than rich hence my comment. Information seems to differ from one person to the next so it is worth a dyno check if nothing else as I've seen a few custom maps done for Racefit equipped bikes and the amount of fuel being added is surprising given it is just an end can.
Maybe for checking (like any exhaust)... but not essential as suggested in the thread... can only speak from experience and seen a blade go all over europe (twice) and do shed loads of uk miles, no issues.
