so Helen goes to Costa picks herself and me a hot chocolate and our daughter the baby version to try. So daughter sips it and spits it out (first time she's tried it so no big deal) I sip mine and it's awful! Helen has the same. So she phones and says I think there maybe a problem with it there may be a problem Nope there's nothing wrong with it, we ran out of hot chocolate so had to get some from tesco WTF! Oh and no refund offered as hot choc was ordered and that's what we got!
Sometimes their hot chocolate is like dirty dishwater with no flavour. I tell them to make sure I can taste it ! Make a post on the Costa Facebook page and they 'usually' send vouchers
There you go, should have to Starbees, don't give a fig they appear not to pay their dues to HMs tax office, prefer the taste to Costalotties
Treat yourself to a Caffe Nero one day, cheaper price and much better coffee than either Costa or Starbucks. Trust me....I live there lol
Got to admire the costa business model though, the way they have infiltrated every service station, corporate business (including government) Hq foyers all whilst maintaining relatively low staff through robot coffee machines even most numpties can use right under the noses of The Tax Dodging bastids... Quite frankly is something to behold.... All the while prob not paying a great deal in overheads as they parasite in others buildings to improve 'welfare facilities' for employees and attract gas guzzling planet killing motorists to the pumps at the very same time it would appear (on here anyway) offering a shite product and worse service....Is nothing short of Genius. I on the other hand quite partial to one (there's on in my lift lobby naturally) but agree with zip... Nero rocks for real coffee.
I don't mind costa or Nero, not a big *bucks fan...but the costa machines in petrol stations etc make awful coffee. I specifically avoid them to the point of driving to a nearer town to get a better cup of beans. Also the petrol station ones encourage more littering, same as drive through mc dees. In the New Forest the forestry car parks near to major roads are having to send out extra litter patrols for all the cups.
Costa coffee is owned by Tesco afaik Personally I would never buy a coffee or any other hot drink from any of these places...just over priced cheap ingredients...bit like Chanel No5
Bloody tart...........McDonalds I brought you in Westminster last week not good enough then, that's fine its your shout next time.......meet you in Rules.
Think Costa's is owned by Whitbread. Best coffee near work is a small Costa but they have great staff and they seem to like giving me freebies, probably because I go there twice a day The bigger one closer to the office is naff, and the Starbucks seem to specialise in bitter coffee. Bit of a fan of McDonalds coffee too but none near work. As for the original post go and complain. Signs all over the place normally saying that they are only happy when you are happy.
I make my own coffee at home. Much prefer it. Use an Aeropress. Always grind the beans just before you use them. Use water that's about a minute past the boil.
