I'm an avid blade rider and absolutely love it. However, I test rode the MV and surprisingly liked it. Is there anyone out there who owns one and can give me a longer term review on owning one? Any information will be appreciated.

Really like the look of these myself for the road mate.

Though not quite ready to give up on sportsbikes yet I can see me getting something similar in a few years.

The only thing I'd be worries about with the MV is replacement parts as I've heard it can take a while.

i traded my blade in for one and love it, only thing is when you stop at light you get a lot of looks, i even had people in cars taking photo's
the power is good aslong sa you can hang on as they do pull well , suspention is hard to get right , its very hard rear and soft front , but much better for the streets than my blade was , god fun and fast , wheely machine , quick shift up and down is good too , and the sound from the pipes is unreal , the engine is a bit noisy at low revs ticking over , but its italian. first italian bike ive owned and all seems good , i also got the suzuki gsx-s1000 and only got 200 miles on it , as i cannot keep of the dragster :)

They look lots better with the scaffolding off the back and the tail tidy fitted.

They also look tiny, I am only 5ft 8" and I looked big on one.

    I
    Own
I almost went for a dragster but bought a standard brutale 800 rr.

I only did 165 miles and the cam. Chain tensioner failed.

It's now with mv waiting for a part.

The 165 miles was wonderful but the last two weeks has been hell, as the dealer will not answer emails or is unavailable to talk to me on the phone.

I am sure your bike will be fine, except for the spoked wheels, as the spokes work loose and you need to get the dealer to Re tension before the wheels collapse.

hope you et it sorted , my dealer in leicester is good and helpfull , so if i get any probs it should get sorted :) well we will see . i had a ktm 1290 and the ktm dealer was jutt like your mv dealer, dont wont to help or anything usless, my 1200 got to 1000 miles and similar thing to you ,the rear tensioner went bad , but later found it to be a oil pressure problem but dealer was usless, they changed parts but it was still noisey engine so i got rid , when i collected the bike from them it was a right mess oil hand prints all over and they left the rear rocker loose and oil leaked onto the exhaust pipe , i will never buy a ktm again and good dealer to far and to many probs ,
im looking for some carbon wheels for my mv anyway but not found any spokes loose as yet

Here is one example and one in Australia who had both wheels replaced and these also went loose.

Hope mv have sorted it by now.

I spoke in detail with three dealers and they never mentioned anything about loose spokes, maybe just an isolated one or two.

What I did find was damning reviews of MV Leicester, same issues as the other dealer, not wanting to know when things went wrong.
Main issues with most of the MV's were the sprag clutch, rear brake and oil leaks and throttle.
With any luck they will have sorted some of these by now.

I'll give that a miss then.

Interesting looking bikes though, I like them.
