Me neither buddy. For the moment, I would hold off naming the dealer, but if this shite continues, I would name and shame.

Will not be buying another mv, wish I had got the Ducati.

Bristol ducati dealer is so goood.

Shame as the brutale is such a good bike.

All the dealer had to do was answer my email or phone me to keep me updated and I would be happy.

But I have only had one email in two weeks and a phone call from Italy after I wrote a message telling them about the bike and poor dealer response.

I always pay for part of the cost (of most things I buy) with a credit card, then, under the consumer credit act the credit card company become responsible for the purchase.
The bike dealer is more likely to respond to the threat of the credit card company than they would to an individual.

My best mate was undecided about an MV or Ducati for his next bike. After reading your thread and delving a bit deeper on other MV reviews it's an easy decision. It's just not worth the risk.

Before buying my Repsol about two weeks ago I was about to buy an MV F3 800.
I was offered one at cost from three dealers who needed to move stock.
I was so close to buying it but after a bit digging I was scared shitless about reliability, after sales and parts availability.

Most of the MV models look stunning but dealers are struggling to sell them and a lot of dealers will not take an MV in part exchange, those I spoke to said they simply trade them as they cannot sell them.

Pity as the are lovely to look at and ride but they are no good if they are back at the dealers more than they are on the road.

Think I made a safer decision going for the Blade.

And I found out it has never been registered with dvla?

So had you been riding it without it being registered !!
I would be kicking off big time if that's what has happened.
Lovely bikes but the dealers seem shite.

Think it's time I take this to a solicitor, as the promised loan bike has not been forthcoming.

You need out of this deal and back onto something more reliable with better service from the dealers.

Keep on at mv themselves. Tell them you are taking further action, press etc who knows you may come out of it with a bike full of accessories.
Years ago when the first F750's came out a guy I know had one and the oil filter managed to spin itself off. He crashed on the oil. MV initially said there was no way that could happen but after going to the press they gave him a new bike and if my memory is correct, they upgraded it as well.
    Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

No wonder your warranty hadn't been registered if the bike wasn't.
If you had been stopped it would be you that was up shit creek, probably no insurance.

I am sure you can reject it under the not fit for purpose law, it not being registered is the icing on the cake.

Yes bit of a bummer, you get a new bike, really happy, then it goes tits up, not nice.
    Hope you get sorted out.

Dvla completed enquiry and bike has not been registered by post or on-line.

So was riding around on a unregistered untaxed uninsured bike.

Still no response from the dealer no phone back or email.

Taken it to italy who have responded immediately to say they will investigate.

Got my appointment with my solicitor at 11.00.

Don't understand why the dealer does not respond!!

If it isn't registered is it not still the dealers bike so they should just cancel the sale and give you a refund.
