    Hi

Is it simple to get the GB covers on a new blade? or do any of the panels need to come off?

    Thanks

Iirc the front gb cover on the right requires some cutting of the black plastic infil panel. The dealer fitted mine and made reference to that. I think you have to remove right side fairing and then dremel out an arched section as top right of pulse gb cover will foul and prevent panel sitting right

Easy to fit it's just the o/s front one that takes a little longer. Having said that I fitted mine (14 plate) and didn't have to cut any off but my mate did on his even though it's the same bike but on a 63.

Fitted on mine, 14 plate, without any cutting, seem to remember just undo the rearmost fairing bolt to get access to a couple of the bolts on the covers. Also if its an ABS one, don't bother replacing the left hand plastic cover!

Never had to cut anything on mine either.

As above just undo the fixing bolt for the fairing closest to the cover itself.
15 minutes and you should be sitting back down with a cuppa

For those that fitted with no issues, do you have abs bikes? I ask as I have a feeling the left infil is different on abs bikes, with more material removed, so perhaps the right is cut back to match.

Just checked and mine has def been trimmed to fit.

Mine was an ABS and no dremeling required, just unbolting of 1 fairing bolt.

Maybe those who've had myther were fitting R&G Shyte rather than the superior GB Racing covers? :D

Covers went on without issues..I had to pull the fairing little to get access to one nut.

Think on the 08-11 the panel needs to come off..

Little confused with the sharkfin install...do I have to drill the swingarm??

Good news Sam, so when fairing goes back, does the infil sit against the gb cover? on my 2012 they did so wonder if they've changed infil or gb cover design.

On shark fin, I'm pretty sure you have to drill swingarm, hence why I never bothered.

I did not take the fairing off..just pushed the inner plastic back so I can get the socket on to get the original but out..

Then pulled it out to get the cover on and new longer nut that came with it..all in..

Think it touches it..but did not seem to put stress on the panel..

Will look at this one day when I get the panel off to get the crash bobbins on..

I found a hold under the swing arm..but only one..and its not threaded...

So not sure what to do about the sharkfin..

Ah ok, I wouldn't bother fitting tbh.... Even for track days, only needed to race.

    Look cool though lol
