Hi again I'm having diffs putting the fairing back on the leads from under the lights where do they go [ 2008 blade ] ... Any ideas ??
i,ll try ..there are one tube each side connected to a sensor and to a cap which screws into the inside of the fairing i think i read that they are a vacuum sensor for the air intake but they then join a T piece under the nose assembly ..these sensors are hanging loose where do i connect them to .. i cant remember when i took the side panels off ?
Are the parts your refering to numbered in this diagram ?? http://www.hondaoriginalparts.com/honda_motorcycle_parts_selection_pfk.php?block_01=13MFL801&block_02=F__1801&block_03=531
I BELIEVE, they are not actually required and a lot of guys pull it all out. Think its for some emissions EU stuff.
Hi there....at the bottom of the top fairing underneath there is a hook thingy pull it down and push all the tubes and wires together in it and stops them from falling down
sounds like the vacuum components for the flaps .. ditch the lot and gut the tubes .. the only thing stoping me doing it to mine is taking the fairing off. Actually seeing as my bike is in half at the moment i mint well take the sides off and do the flapper mod ready for the remap in the spring
I heard on another site that doing this mod effects the bottom end pull unless you go the full hog and change the exhaust, flapper mod and then take everything out then take it for a dyno ..... now judging by what gains you get sometimes i don't think its worth it ....but the choice is always your own
Yeah thats correct .. And no its probably not worth it for 1BHP but as Arthur said " I paid a lot of money for my bike and its BHP and i want every single 1 " ha ha To be honest mate , Its winter , bike is off the road and its an excuse to get out and have a play ")
Its rubbish about the tubes, the HRC kit ones are basically 'straight through' versions of standard ones. I junked the complete lot, opened up the tubes, binned everything, smoothed then plastic welded the tubes on the old mans old 09, made a noticaeable difference even before remap.
Bless If you look up the tubes you can see a metal plate held in place by a metal frame .. this in turn is opened by the wire hook thats connected to the metal disc/servo thingy that sits on the tube and it goes on and on ......
Oh I thought you meant the rubber tubes so you remove the flaps the servos the tubes the lot??? Does it not throw any faults up and do you remove the chamber that sits between the headlights to?
I junked the lot cos I have carbon air tubes ... but CC is advocating just pulling out stuff and smoothing the plastic mouldings that hold it all in place . Totally free mod just the time you spend . Non reversable if you do it that way ... but to be honest that wouldn't bother me . Yup I removed the mini tank behind the headlight and all the pipework . No faults popped up on the dash so all good
^ Benn, i think the "chamber" between the headlights is the mercury switch if you drop the bike - it activates a kill switch.
