Thought i would start again.. Possibly leaving work in a year, and thinking to use the savings to invest and try to build on the money. I had looked at houses, budget would only allow for a flat to be bought, and looking at the number its more of a long term investment and the returns are low. Other options, i was thinking of buying a running business - chicken shop or something. Any one got any idea's?
all depends how much your talking about investing, what your risk level is,wether you need to able to access the money, time period of investment etc.. tbh this isn't really the place, speak to a good financial adviser, they can give you a much better idea+options.
true...last finance advisor i spoke to just wanted my money I actually want to move out of London..One day... but yes looked at property outside London - but decided on London, as property price would go up more in London the out.. and if buying out of London, it will cost more as i will need to get someone in the middle to manage...and more properties needed to get the same money as in London.. + i read somewhere the government is looking to tax rental income?
talked to one few months ago - seemed she more wanted money then anything else..so thought i would research little first..
Don't know this game Sam, but I must admit I thought rental income was always taxed (in line with personal allowances and tax bands) and subject to allowances for costs such as interest and maintenance etc.
you have to declare rent as taxable earnings, you can offset it against mortgage, upkeep etc,but thats where a good accountant comes in. well of course a FA wants your money, the more you invest, the more they make, but in theory,so do you.
i've been looking to invest another 20k this yr,if i chose you where would it go,tyres or crash damage?
I'm sticking with crash damage and tyres, matt will be doing over 50 days this yr I reckon,in fact think that might only cover his tyre bill, jase and jimbo can cover his crash damage
You could be right, 8 rounds for racing 3 days for each race and then lots of regular track days. I think 30 rears and 10 fronts might be about right so a cheque for £6000 would be welcome scooby There has to be crash damage, as we know crashing is slowness leaving the body bike and mind and trying to get to BSB pace crashing is a must
Send some my way please! Only had one crash one this year, due to lack of concentration so you're money will go on tyres! But seriously I need money people Btw good investment idea Sam. Good to get into property if you can.
Ha ha!! "What, Bsb race in the wet?" Anyway scoob.... He will save at least £15k next year with doing his own tyre changes
