Got an NXR for last year's Southern 100 and it is superb, in fact it is probably slightly better than my X-Spirit 2 in terms of fit. Top lid and you will love it!

It does feel good on and I like the design, light too
    Hope it's not too noisy

From my experience (and I only have the Southern 100 to go on) it is quiet, but I always wear ear plugs though! Either way it is a great lid, great ventilation, very good visor mechanism and light weight too. Top lid!

I know the feeling :) X-Lite X-802R Ultra Carbon. Clear and dark visor with a pinlock for £280, and it is soooooooo light.

That was the lid I got last year  very nice but I find it difficult to fuel the bike up whilst I'm sitting on the bike ! The nose piece just in line of view, but good lid other than that and fits my head perfect.

Thanks for the heads up about the head down ;). Tried on a RX7 GP but it didn't feel quite right. Bloke said to try the x-lite and it immediately felt right.

I like looked at the X lite at the show. One stand had the one with the red interior for £270 with a dark visor but another had the new RR model with the green 'carbon' interior for £280 with a dark visor but I forgot who it was so I could ring them to see if they would still do the show price.

I have been looking at these but the lock mechanism on the side put me off. Instead i went with an HJC RPHA. Arai. Jeez, i could not afford the GP's

I've got the NXR, in my view best lid out there.

Why? I have the rpha and a shoei - both brilliant.

Aria... Best lid out there IMO but side pods..... Don't get me started on side pods ffs :(

I had a play with the shoei lid shut and i wanted to check if it is safe but i moved the visor up and down and it opened straight aesy. Maybe a fault with the one i tried? Perhaps. Arais, yes one of the best out there but for the 700 mark (the ones i wanted) were out of my budget. Maybe later.
I couldnt comment on the side pods. You have more experience on this mate
