i have a very little used xbox which is now 2 years old it was ok this morning but now wont play a game or film .Put disc in /close tray it says its reading and then open tray .Any of you nerds know whats going on .Thanks. Mike.
What date is on the back of the xbox? Microsoft gave 3 year warranties on some faults. Failing that its a new xbox mate or at least find a repair shop.
Tried a few even a new one .just googled xbox faults and it seems like a standard £50.00 issue shame as i have not used the poxy thing much.
trouble is once they have been opened they seem a bit prone to going wrong afterwards. I have had 2 fixed and within 3 months they went wrong again. In the end I gave up and bought a new one.

£167.00 at Asda this morning then as my wife works there she creamed another £17.00 off as discount so i thoughtas its going to cost me £50./£60 sheets plus petrol or postage bla bla to get it fixed and Blue advised that more could go wrong once messed with i thought lets not mess about Game set and match!!
If you need the cable for transfering your profile, give us a shout. You can recover your profile online but you wont get your game saves unless you use the cable. It plugs into the old hard drive then into the front usb port on the xbox.
