Giv thank you for taking the time to explain lol, I'm really surprised it was uncomfortable I always thought it'd be a mile muncher I looked at them seriously for ages as an all year round commuter!!!
Ace! Rocket! Looked into the k1200s and really liked it but more money - and i also rode the k1300s (mega money!) and dont think i could put up with knowing that i had the older, shitter one..
All of the attributes you describe are found in a BUSA. Yes, as standard they do not look good. This was mine, and with a few mods I think it looked awesome.
I have a Busa as well, and it will easily do the job for you, comfortable (especially if you fit oberon pegs which give you an extra inch legroom). If ridden really sensible you will just about manage 200mls to the tank. I have Gen11 but can vouch for the original models as I had one of them for 7yrs.
Thanks for all your suggestions and advice amigos. I have gone for the zx12 and put my money down on it today I've got to get a bike urgently as all 3 of my current rides are off the road and work starts on Tuesday! I feel confident i made a good decision and yes, the Busa does everything i need, but its just not for me. I've never had a Kwak so should be fun - and it was only another £60 to add it to my insurance - result! Now to ebay and waste money on zx12 crap...! ZeeKwaky
Congrats mate I'm sure you'll love it as good as the srads are it's gotta be a fair bit better, I'm Jealous!!!
I want a mint ZX7R I saw one the other day with about 7-8k on it I wasted it so bad then one flew past me the day after I saw one it was like a sign. I know their are prob better bikes etc etc but they were on the scene when I started falling for bikes and would love one! When u picking the 12 up Zee
^ As soon as my supercool swingarm extension is fitted - i hear these are really good for cornering and can drop your lap times around Laguna Seca by 57 seconds at least...
this 12r belonged to my now retired local kawasaki dealer who sold me both my 12r,s he used it for sprinting and only packed in at the grand age of 71. it had lock up clutch 1280 big bore and a nos kit amongst loads of other goodies. was speed tested at genuine 205mph!! not bad for a pensioner!! i,m a member on the forum 200mph.net under the same username. its worth joining up zee thers loads of help and info on there too.
yes i went to a few of the meets too as 1 of his sons and my older brother grew up together. its scary to watch especially on the launch!! hold it at about 9k and when the lights go dump the clutch. hes bloody brave with that much horsepower under him. did you used to go up portreath andrew when they run the sprints up there.??
I've went once a few years back, but only to watch not to run. I think the local porche owners club were there aswell, I can't recall the ZX12 being there tho.
Wow - loving the gixxer (shame about the weather today!!). Looking forward to many miles and fun times on this - pic below:
