    Hi
Have a 2015 Blade and looking to fit a Fender Extender to front fender, so need to remove it. From a quick look at front fender I`m not sure if the wheel will need to come off to drop the fender down between the forks, as I don`t think it will pass between the forks by just pulling it forward. Can anybody, who has removed the fender, give me a steer.
    Thanks

Simple ... Just take the four bolts out undo the fixings for the brake-lines and it will slide out! It's tight but as long as your carefull there is no need to remove wheel, just watch the studs on the rear that hold the brake lines as if your not carefull you will mark the inside of the stantions... If your worried about marking it just use some good quality tape to wrap around them before removing....

Thanks Dave, it looks tight and with the gold fork stanchions didn`t want to scratch then unnecessarily. Will have a look tomorrow and layer on the masking tape before sliding it out between the forks.

I tend to just remove the front wheel. Can't be arsed with the chance of breaking the plastic or scratching the forks.

Scooby, all the workshop manuals now refer to them as fenders. Mudguards went out with the BSA Banton! But there again you could be a back to biking silver top!

Thanks Colin, that`s what I was initially thinking of doing, especially with a new bikes. Don`t want any scratches!. My last few bikes have had the front fender split in two, so you could take the rear off separately, easy!

It's a mudguard. It's also a film not a movie, boot, not a trunk, pictures, not the movies, petrol, not gas, Christmas, not holidays.

Finally got around to fitting the extender. Dropped the wheel in the end as trying to pull the fender (Or mudguard) through the forks was clearly going to mark, or damage, something. Probably quicker to drop the wheel anyway. When I was pumping the forks, prior to tightening the axle pinch bolts, noticed a clicking noise, tightened everything up to torque settings and still making the noise, from reviewing this forum the clicking seems to be normal with the Blade forks, is this right? the bike has zero miles as I`m waiting for a dry day for my first ride, so cant be wear and tear?
