Oh no! On that basis it's a no-brainer but it all depends on getting £5k for engine and frame alone, is that realistic you reckon?

Ask Mark, he may even be able to do a deal on the fast moving stuff.

The prices I quoted weren't all top dollar either and were a few quid adrift from Mark's retail prices. When you add it all up it's amazing the money thats tied up in a bike.

Have to agree with this comment by derchef, if there is a high demand for the parts then the price goes up but there is no shortage of fireblades being broken. I am fortunate enough to own 2 Yamaha RD500 Lc's:eek: now there is a demand outstripping supply, can't imagine what they would bring in £££ if broken for parts.:D:D

Just checked and they're £1800 before discount so should easily get a brand new frame for £1300

Does that include registration and V5? Someone must be buying them as he's sold a few.

Eta. ^^^ beat me to it! ^^^

Slightly off topic, but can you just buy a frame from honda and build a bike up around it?

I'm guessing it's not that simple as it'll have to be registered and get a certificate of conformity etc? I presume therefore that registered frames with a v5 may be worth more than a bare new frame from Honda..... Especially if you smash or bend yours on track and you'd like a new frame to get it on the road again.
