And if you are going to paint your leathers - Acrylic Paint - Winsor & Newton - seems to be holding up after about 6 months, without flaking or peeling. Plenty left in the tube.

I've got a set of Arlen-Ness and love them as a quality piece of kit. My race leathers are Richa (team kit and are shite - don't buy).

I'm buying a set of Furygan's for next year.

I've just recently bought RST Tractech EVO which I find very comfortable, I was using an old 2 piece frank Thomas set which were brilliant too.

Dainese are usually designed for in or outside the boot, what leathers does your mate have?

My Dainese have an additional zip to allow the leg to go under or over the boot

Just be aware if buying older models or lower end trousers such as the alien or pony models that the 2nd zips are calf expansion not so much for over boots. They don't open enough to stretch over the boot and zip up. I tried a few thinking they would work but in reality its the delta pro trousers that have the wider expansion panel to go over boot, and they have the Velcro inside the ankle which connects to Velcro on the boot, not essential but better imo. All the new 1 piece and most of the newer 2 piece have this, "suit to boot" connection. Also note the "in" boots are a bit narrower than most other boots (including the normal dainese out boots) to enable them to go under.
Sorry if I'm repeating others, I went through all this recently on a tight budget and not everything is as it first seems !
I'm happy now with my in boots and delta pros though...

RST one piece. Very comfortable, not too heavy. I wear a hi-viz coat over the top at this time of year and keep warm.

I've just had my new Furygan dark apex's & Fit-R gloves arrive at Hayball Motorcycles in Salisbury (http://www.hayballmotorcycles.co.uk).

I've not got my hands on them yet as they've been sent straight to Hill4Leather for badging up for the 2016 No Limits Endurance Racing season.

They should come back looking like this (but with 'Andy' on the arse)

The letters for names are about £10 each including sowing on.

One of the Army sports funds is paying for the badges to be made and sown on (I think it's about £80 for all the sowing on)

I was a little surprised how well my Richa's held up this year with a few offs (until the zip burst just zipping it up). Which reminds me that I have to get it repaired before Cartagena in just over 2 weeks, Doh!
