    Hi all,
Has anyone fitted a tank cover by Baglux? Value for money or is not worth it.? I have used a kriega in the past but fancy a change. What do you think?

    Cheers

I have had them on all my Blades, I use their Map pocket to carry a map and a few other bits including a puncture repair kit. I don't use the tank bag, I find it annoying and gets in my way. Great bits of kit.

I swear by them if that is any recommendation.

I have used Baglux for probably the best part of 15+ years and in fact my new bike is being ordered with a new cover so I can clip my current tank bag straight in.

It (the tank cover) also acts as a good tank protector as well and avoids all those horrible little scuffs you tend to get from zips rubbing and the like.

So as I say, if my opinion counts for anything, highly recommended.

I too have used them but as said I personally found the tank bag just a wee bit too big on the blade as it has such a large tank. Fine on other bikes though.

One side effect I wasn't expecting though.....on my old rr8 I left mine on to act as a tank protector over winter. Went to remove it in spring and found a pea sized stone had found it's way up at the front by the fork tops, and had basically spent the winter scratching a deep 2 inch long scratch on my tank cover. I guess just make sure you strap it down nice and tight.

I bought a cover for my white 12 blade but love the look of that metallic tank so much I can't bear to hide it behind some dull vinyl.

    Two words

    Givi Tanklok !!

Move on up, easier, quicker and doesn't even touch the tank so no marks or scratches.
Recommend by a few off here and wouldn't tour without it, ideal for gloves, passport, cash, spare visor.

Got the adjustable one that you can set forward or back.

    Perfect.

Then you need Ventura gear next lol

I have been a Baglux fan for some time for all the reasons listed above but having seen the givi lock ring in use that is even easier to use for your 'valuables' to take with you to a cafe or similar.

But.. it won't protect the tank like Baglux does so + and - of each system. I use a small bag and never found it gets in the way, but its not waterproof and the cover is annoying and that one has no satnav pocket but newer ones do.

I always put a baglux cover on all of my bikes. I've never had a problem with the tank scratching (but could be that you wouldn't notice on any of my bikes). Great bags. Now to find one second hand for the new blade.

I'm sorry but why anyone would want to put one of those hideous things on their bike beats me

Keep the tank pristine. Some of us ride lots of miles on a daily basis in all weathers.

I have a kriega tank cover on mine. Personally it looks good and it just suits the style of the bike.

It is on their website mate. Nothing special tbh but i can mount the us5-10-20.... It doesnt cover entirely the tank only the central part of it. For its price is worth it

I use a Baglux tank cover on my FJR1300 to clip tank bag to when touring. It fits well and does the job it's intended to but as soon as I get back home it comes off. I can't see me ever doing any real touring on the Fireblade so can't comment.

Agree with Rebel, they look bloody awful & if you use the bag that attatches to harness you cant get tucked in behind the screen, I use a Renntec rack that is easy to use & can take a great load!!!!

I've had baglux on bikes in the past and thought they were good, the only problem is its gets a bit expensive getting new tank covers if you change your bikes often like I do.
Having said that I'm currently sourcing a sw motech quick lock tank bag for my Tuono. The problem is that the tank filler doesn't have external bolts so you also have to get an adaptor as well but they don't list the electric tank ring for my bike so I'm having to wait until the importers open after the holidays.
