Did your slip on/dyno tune/PC5 improve your bottom end torque?

    Hi guys,

Just curious to see everyones thoughts, i'm in the market for an arrow exhaust/PC5 and dyno tune and wondering how you found performance after a dyno. I know generally the mid range and overall curve gets a nice improvement, but since i do a lot of riding in traffic i was curious about bottom end. I did the exhaust flapper mod but it seemed to rob the power from taking off at the lights, especially when riding with a passenger. Anyone here had all that done and tuned well but still prefer the stock exhaust?

    Cheers
    Mike

Hi mike ,Had an akopovic slip on with power commander five on my repsol ,custom map made the overall power smoother and helped the bottom end ,this was 2011 blade, did not bother connecting the flapper,it sounded loud to me ,but definetly improved overall performance especially straight line squirt, new blade is 2014 and does not require map,in my opinon honda have already done the job.

Thanks for the reply mate. Have you decided to keep your new 2014 with a stock exhaust? i just bought a 2015 and feel the power delivery is pretty perfect as well, just want to get some sound out of her but don't want to lose any low end performance.

I'm running 2014 model with AR link pipe and end can, Sprint filter, exhaust servo removed Still has the stock sport cat in the bottom and she runs mint! No flat spots and pulls hard right out the gate! Unlike my early model that required PC and some dyno time to set it up! And then it would still hunt and if I'm honest it wasn't perfect! I'm not saying there are no gains to be had on a later bike but they just seem to fuel cleaner and better than early models....

Hi , Mike, yes i am just keeping this bike standard, but have done the flapper mod, which to me is just the right level of noise and hopefully will not attract any unwanted attention, but have changed the end can cover for carbon one which looks good with black frame,in my opinion, have r&g tail tidy, rear hugger and removed the rear footpegs, best mod though is single rear light unit which integrates the flashers, but because they are l.e.d. I had to change the flasher relay to inbuilt resistor type, relay is buried under the front .bit of a nightmare to fit,but it just tydies up the rear so well, anyway can definetly notice the flapper mod and hear the engine popping on deceleration more ,maybe an age thing ,but i just don,t need that noise in my ear anymore ,less noise= smooth=quick

I have a Leo Vince, although I believe Arrow exhausts are set up for Blades?
Did not have a PC5 and found the bike used to hunt on tickover, so fitted the PC and it made the bike really smooth across the range
