Bought all my Ti gear from Phil at Competition Fasteners. It's top quality gear and delivery is fast.

So far I have replaced the following with Ti:

    Front mud guard screws
    Tank cover screws
    Front caliper bolts
    Front fork pinch bolts
    Handle bar clip on bolts
    Top Yoke pinch bolts
    Bottom yoke pinch bolts
    Side stand bolts
    Rear shock linkage bolts

Eventually i'll get the front disc bolts, rear disc bolts and sprocket carrier nuts when i have some spare cash.

+1 for competionfasteners - just ordered some titanium stuff from them (first time I've ever ordered anything titanium), prices really good, and Phil from compfasteners has been extremely helpfull. Will definitely be ordering more!

Whose got the sizes then for the following:

    Front mudguard bolts
    Rear hugger bolts

Surely there should be a 'sticky' post with this information. It's very hard to find!

Anyone got any standard spares kicking about?

Phil @ Competition fasteners has asked for some to match up Titanium, so may be able to put some kits together.

My mate has a business that sells everything from plumbing supplies to furniture. This weekend they have tools promotion with reps from Milwaukee, Bosch etc coming over. It was whilst I was drooling over a Teng Tools kit (£2,297 to you sir!) that the Teng rep told me that they were now doing a stainless steel range. Evidently when using stainless fasteners etc you should use stainless tools to stop the stainless tarnishing. News to me too!

Same with Ti. Mr OCD cross contamination is a major issue/problem in industry, probably not to many issues regarding replacement fasteners though.:D

Are there any untoward effects of using Ti nuts with steel washers, for instance?

(like I currently have on my rear sprocket)

Titanium should ideally only come into contact with itself or S/S otherwise you get degradation of the Titanium that's to say it will pick up ferrite from contact with Carbon steel but this should'nt be an issue with motorcycle nuts & bolts. Different story if it was the space shuttle.:D:D

I bought 10 M6 x 20mm button screws from Phil. These will fit the mudguard and the tank cover with no issues.
