Front Brake Caliper

    Has anyone seen or heard of this happening before. While installing the left front caliper and pinching up the top pad retaining pin, there was a sudden ease in screwing it in resulting in a cracked caliper. You can jus barely see it in the photo Don't suppose anyone has a spare lying around, cheers uploadfromtaptalk1452419511647.jpg uploadfromtaptalk1452419527566.jpg

    Think there was a post by daz selling a pair? Might be worth a search?

    Looks like you might have over tightened it, were you using a torque wrench in it?

    All I did was "pinch" it up with a1/4 drive ratchet, just to the point where the thread locks, then "ping" . I guess shit happens as they used say [emoji1] [emoji1] oh and the torque wrench was in hand ready for final tweak

    The torque on them is pretty low, I would double check the pin against OEM.

    If is is longer it will potentially touch the other side and when tightened effectively pull the calliper apart.

    Don't spose you still have the Front RHS caliper Wedgie? Mine is a 2009 blade and I've cracked it :-(
