    Hi there

Can anyone give a review of the Bridgestone S20 Evo tyres.

Got a friend asking about them in regards to grip and mileage if anyone can give an insight to them.

    Thanks.

Was hoping for a real world review if possible mate.

All those tabloids can be easily influenced ;)

Ran the Battlax BT016R's on the outgoing ZX10R Col for the last 18 months.

Done 2K miles and their not far off done at the rear.
Dry Grip is reasonable, Wet grip is shyte.

    Bout it.

    PR4 rule on the road!

That's what I've said for the riding he does the PR4's are the daddies.

He can get a deal on the S20 Evos that's why he's asking.

Had s20 not evo (newer version?) we're great.... Dry grip really good and wet was fantastic as you know, they were on for the Scotland trip....

Rear didn't last four days though and that's when I switched to pr4's on the road. On the way home :(

If the evo's give better wear I'd say try them....

Yea remember Jimbo. The rear lasted 1400 miles and that was thru to the carcass.

I've told him about this. He's not against the PR4's which for his riding is the perfect tyre. Touring and rides in most weathers.

It's not every day you ride like we did that weekend though dude

But at the time when I put the new one on I was thinking "sure I only had the last one put on few weeks before?" Never really bothered about miles before but they were ridiculous....

Like I said, might get more out evo..... Only one way to find out

I've just put a set on mine last weekend but only rode it home about 20 miles and still got the protective crap on so I've no idea just yet but im hoping they will be better than the BT016's they're replacing. i upped the size to a 55 on the rear as well so fingers crossed.

I had a set of S20 evos on my Fireblade and performance wise they were superb. Fantastic levels of grip and probably the most confidence inspiring road tyres I've ever used. They ran out of rubber at 1635 miles. Not entirely unexpected as I rarely get more than 3000 miles from sport touring tyres on my FJR1300. I think Aberdeenshire and Scottish roads in general offer great grip but we pay for it with lousy tyre life. Currently running T30's on the Fireblade and approaching 2K mileage with maybe another 500 miles till needing changed. Also a good tyre but outright grip of the S20 is superb.

    Hi sine wave
Have to agree pr4s are good my rear lasted just short of 5k the front still has loads left but I'm thinking of changing because I have abnormal wear on the front tyre on the right hand side edge ,so was thinking of changing to pilot power 3s and see how they fair.
    Cheers Stu

If you're getting abnormal tyre wear Id give your suspension a service and setup.

Had S20's on my bike since new.
Originals were grippy although didn't last long.
    Evos are much better.
Grippy in the dry and great in the wet, did a Superbike school day at Silverstone in the pouring rain and they were superb.
May not last as long as some of the others, although to me thats not a concern.
I will stay with what I know
New tyres this year will be S20 Evos
