OMG.....to serve at least a year in prison! These are recurring events now, and certainly the message is strong and the consequences are serious. I don't ride like an idiot as I'm too old and need my licence to ferry kids around, but I'm not always right side of the law either. I've said it before, it wouldn't be so bad if the bloke who nicks your bike and rides like that gets 2 years in prison, but they never do. Ride like that and get caught and we know it's porridge, which likely means job gone, kids hungry....not worth that, ever!
Mad as his riding is prison is a tad harsh. Filming himself and not wiping the card after each ride was a dull and done coppers work for them. Also people who live in glass houses shouldn,t throw stones but obviously most on here never ever wheelie, speed or do some thing naughty. Not saying it's right at all, just saying.
So you ride like an angel all the time? Think his biggest crime is pulling such shit wheelies Bit irratic but his biggest mistake is the speeding in the sub 50's - not needed really is it.... Think the white line thing is a bit harsh (appreciate it's the law) imo, it's there to stop overtakes as visibilty is limited, but on a bike you can overtake perfectly safe on some roads even with a white line.... But you take your chances and all that. That said, what a cock to record, store and hand over the evidence - feck that Time doesn't fit the crime though IMO, some junkie can rob your house and they just give them community they never turn up to and a rehabilitation course that's a waste of public money....
Saint? Hmm....no comment there Jimbo Normally you dont carry with you all your recordings so lesson learned! I would say keep your attitude on track amongst other riders
No it's a bit daft, I wouldn't record anything on the road these days.... Bad enough with dash cams around... Keep my attitude?
Self incrimination, so easy done with cameras. We're all guilty of some of the things he's done but anyone who rides like that in a 30 is a complete idiot. Years prison sentence is very harsh though.
Right, all cash our bikes in as we never go over the speed limit and need only 125cc ???? Yes, he broke the limits, but always checked that it was clear when overtaking, didn't make other motorists swerve, so don't all start getting on the moral high ground. Also be careful of satnav's too for data recording!! And yes, people do a burglary, police chase, built up area, school time, def not going to stop, police ram them to stop n don't get a year !!!
None of us are pure Angels, but let's be fair, there are times and places and respect for other road users to consider. I've always made my thoughts on cameras known. Leave them for off road. His major sins for me are where he did what he did, AND, he recorded it.... Major fail in my book. Sentence is harsh on the face of things as I've seen people convicted of causing death by dangerous driving receiving lighter sentences.
shit wheelie's, if your going to film yourself and then get banged up for it at least get some decent footage. In the 30's, 40's & 50's totally agree that's plain stupid, although we've all done the filtering element?
Or get some proper footage from the helicopter!! Ain't trying hard enough if they don't dispatch the eye in the sky
Police using his camera recordings against him....hmm.. Iv been thinking about getting a camera mounted for my rides...
Well if you do you need to stay squeaky clean. But leave it at home If you want to stretch your legs....
I'm surprised the cam folks haven't come up with a quick delete button you can press at the first sign of them pesky blue lights?!?
