A friend needs to sell his 2009 factory Repsol, that he has owned for near 3 years. Bike it self is in good condition, and with 3 previous owners. Bike has 17k on the clock, bike is standard and has R&G Crash bungs fitted. Bike did not have a service history book, however had allot of receipts of oil changes etc + he serviced him self in the 3 years he had it.. Bike has a alarm fitted with a certificate for insurance. Looking for idea's of how much he should put the bike up for sale for? Should he wait till March / April to advertise? Is £5300 achievable?
My mate sold an 09 about March last year , 2 owners full Honda service history roughly 18/19k in black for £4900 and it was immaculate. I'd have thought £5300 was optimistic but good luck.
Repsols are advertised close to the £6k mark (ebay \ auto trader)..but it is a buyers market.. Also Repsols cost more, then other colors. I once got a blade think about 4 years back from a guy who was desperate to clear his outstanding finance...that worked out a really good deal for me..
Agree that you'll get more interest in it cause it's a Repsol and a bit more money but £6k is well overpriced. I sold my 20th anniversary last May , immaculate loads of R&G and genuine Honda hugger, screen and cowl with less than 5k for £6300.
I'm afraid IMO you sold that too cheap. I watch prices regularly and I haven't seen one that cheap ever. Did you trade it or did you have to sell quickly. Genuinely interested as be selling mine soon.
I sold it too a mate, I wouldn't have gave it too anyone else for that. I'd already put a deposit on another bike and didn't want the hassle of advertising it and all the good stuff that goes with that !
