After ride from 0 to 56.000 miles in 4 years, i think is time to change the wheel bearings... What is your opinion to replace it to ceramic bearings? Some experts reported 60% less friction. It is tempting less consumption and more speed!
I can't really see the point in fitting them. They dont use them in racing to my knowledge and when you consider the drag on the brakes any advantage would probably be all but lost.
Ceramic bearings do not like shock loading, they are easily damaged, unless you plan to do something spectacular in a one off situation stick with the steel bearings.
56k miles with regular bearings, no need to change to a different type in my opinion. Each to their own though.
