Supposedly I need to get shut of my lambda when fitting the Bazzaz ZFi? I've read that instead of forking out for a 'O2 eliminator' I simply need a 330ohm resistor soldered in. Anyone known if this is correct?
I'm OK thanks, 18quid a a right rip off for a 40p resistor. Haha Looked about a bit more and I would seem it is just a resistor. Of to maplins tomorrow then...
It is the correct part though. I'm happy to spend whatever money on the bike but I won't be ripped off.
The main difference between a retail type eliminator and just adding a resistor is the oem stock plug so that your not breaking into the wiring loom. It really just depends on what your knowledge and thoughts are upon both, the retail version keeps things clean and leave no visible interference when the bike is being sold on! Potential buyers can be totally put off by potential dodgy wiring repairs!
As far as paying for the correct part then that would be leaving the o2 sensor in place and attached as originally designed!
Each to their own mate, I just know some folks visiting the forum have no wiring experience what so ever, was more posting differences for clarity for others. I don't have any o2 sensors on either of my bikes and vehicle wiring does not phase me in the slightest, even have certificates issued through VAG group for working on various vehicle electrical systems!
