Hi guys I know it is not cool but has anyone fitted muffs to their CBR to combat cold with success? just in case you are wondering, I don't want to fit heated grip or wired gloves nor spend £200 on battery powered one
This is going badly downhill But in a funny way Bonjo...get some heated grips or be super manly & invest in some good gloves
R&G heated grips - mine have lasted over 80,000 miles and still going strong Melt ice in winter and make such a huge difference I can't imagine running a road bike without them
What ? It's a bad line, you're breaking up badly.... I thought for a moment you were talking of putting muffs on a blade. Ffs, don't let Clarkson hear you discuss that when he's near the cool wall. Get a set of Oxford heated grips for about £75 and let's hear no more talk of Blade Muffs
I'd say that having one and being one are two very different things. I've been one a few times, but don't plan on having one. My local postman woman on the other hand...
Lol I sure am ......in fact I may set up a TuffMuffs ladyeeez m/c club to give you & the rest of the Garage Queens a run for your money
I'm still upset every time I see a bike with muffs because I may have actually invented them but never bothered to patent the idea... Back in the day, with a 15 mile commute along the estuary, where for 18 months solid it rained or snowed every single day (truth), I cut up some 1 gallon chemistry bottles and fixed them with jubilee clips to my 550f just to stop the fingers of my gloves freezing together. I could be sitting outside my chalet in Bora Bora now...
If it's really Cold & Raining then No, not to ya finger tips as they don't tend to sit touching the grips to much. Heated Gloves are better if you're an all year round sort of Rider imho.
My Oxford ones are proper toasty. Yesterday I started off with them on 100% and my hands were getting tooooo hot. Turned them down to 75%, still to hot, ended up on 50%. I've had various makes before but these are the best I've had. Nice and neat as well.
I got a very good pair which I use with my adv bike they are nice and furry inside and keep me hands warm (-) but won't fit the blade. I the meantime, I think I would need a pair to keep me warm indoors.... Well winter will be over in another few weeks and I can save up for a pair of heated gloves for next year maybe.
