i had planned a few jobs on my bike but just couldn't make the time so booked it in to a garage on the way to work which had been reccomended. on arrival i could see a few gsxr's so felt a little more relaxed as he works on bikes simiar, the first job was the cam chain tensioner, you can imagine my dissmay when he started to tyr and unscrew the filler cap to get the tank off! but i let him carry on,got to work all good then came out to go home to find a small puddle of coolant under the bike. called said garage and got it back to him, showed him the coolant over the back wheel and got a response to the tune of ! thats not good is it! got that sorted and should have learnt my lesson but the bloke seems a decent bloke believe it or not? so booked it in for new caliper seal's next as no time to do it myself, dropped the bike off and he sounds confident all will be ok , called him up and told no problem collect it when i like so i go there at the end of the day to be told he had seem worse and all's ok. checked the bike and the lever seemed a little soft but not much to worry about so i get on my way, get to the end of the road and the lever hits the bar i know i should of turned round but i just had enough and didnt want him near my bike again. after stewing on it all night i called him in the morning to tell him abou it and i get you have short lever's on it dont you! then i get it was all right in the workshop then bring it back to me,i bled the system that night and a load of air came from the master cylinder. this bloke is a one man band so im in two minds about naming him but im livid that he has messed up so royaly twice on my bike which could have seen very different outcomes and dont want him to do the same to anyone else. yes i should have known early on but convenience and lack of time, i have learnt my lesson and im out of pocket. sorry for the rant but im still pi££ed off cheers
Report to trading standards, won't be long before someone's life is put at risk if he can't even bleed brakes properly
I also know of a one man bandit, experianced as a honda mechanic, brave enough to go it alone, but gets to overloaded, makes mistakes. should double check and then some... got him to stamp my full service, gave him a kn filter 2 fit, thought it wasn't right, I checked and he left the bloody bubble wrap in there.
You must write down the problems, state you are not happy, ask for any money back or you will report him,,he is in the shit, should not do that
