Hi I am new to this site I have a 2005 CBR1000RR (Repsol) I have a problem that it is not charging Batt. I checked 3 yellow wires from stator and have continuity from each one to frame (I used a buzzer and it is buzzing when connecting any Yellow lead to Earth,so I suspect stator am I checking right. I read on a site that there was a Recall in the US for this problem on 04/05 bikes.Was there one here also can I replace Stator only and is there any other better stator I can fit. As a by the way I stopped the bike last week and when trying to start again there was no response from start button not even a click from solenoid I was advised to jump yellow lead from to solenoid to Batt Pos.And Lo and behold it started pointing to a bad start button which when soaked with WD40 all was OK.
Re my Thread re No Charging on my 2005 CBR1000RR. I had no replies or suggestions But on Contacting Honda Ireland I was informed that There was a 5yr extended warranty for this problem and they are rectifying for me.
Waw thats awesome . Really good bit of info for owners , due to no replies im guessing no one has this fault. not yet anyway lol
