Mine about same time. Weather looking better for Sat but poo tomorrow so may get out Sat but definitely out Sunday. Need to get some miles on it to get to first service before trackday on 22nd April!
What have you both got in mind for running in? @Bobtra69 @Curly. I did the first 100 miles on mine 2 weeks ago, I kept it sub 6k for all of it apart from 2 or 3 times where I went up to 7-8k at the end of the ride. I will keep it that way until the first service which I will try and get done on the early side...500-550miles. Then work the revs up slowly until 1000miles then DIY oil and filter at that point. I hope you both get the weather this weekend to get the first ride done, I became less impatient when I had done the first ride. I'm quite happy to wait now for things to warm up.....Its currently snowing here!
Snowing here too. First service booked for April 9th so need miles on it, trackday on 22nd. Hunts recommend no more than 7k revs but vary throttle, don't just sit on motorway for 600 miles at 7k. So will be clocking up miles over next few weeks.
Bob good luck today!! The new bike feeling is brilliant. Let us all know how you get on with it over the next few weeks.
Enjoy your new bikes Guys. Not wanting to be a party pooper but it's cold out there, that means cold Tarmac and cold tyres. Also, tyres are brand new. Enjoy, but take care. To say I'm envious is an understatement. It's a lovely feeling getting a brand new bike
