Ok that's sounds like a good plan. Hopefully weather permitting tomorrow I will get chance to go for the first ride.

Just want to ask - do all Fireblades have so much throttle play?

Yeh they pretty much don't adjust them! Horrible from standard but easy fix by adjusting the top pull cable, just make sure once up you have taken some of the free play out just go lock to lock to make sure you haven't got any issues with it be too tight.... 5 min job! Or you can change the throttle tube out for an HRC one... That's the options went for as I still found you have to wind it round too far to get full throttle....

Thanks Dave, will look at first option and consider 2nd if need be. my ZX10R had a much better throttle movement, quite immediate.

Had to adjust throttle clutch and chain when I got my new blade. Also had to change dash from km/h to mp/h. So much for the pre delivery inspection.

Wow! That does look amazing! Really nice machine. When I took one for a test ride I stalled it twice because of all the free play in the throttle. Still have ridden mine yet, Spending too much time wondering whether to ceramic polish or paint protection covering?? More expense!

If the bike is so new I'd put Venture Shield protection on it asap - or sods law a stone chip will appear and then its too late. There is a knack to it, but if you've not fitted before I'd pay the money to get it fitted.
