The long Hard wait is over and I finally have an Insurance Payout for my stolen Blade.
Unfortunately my Insurance has gone skywards on another Blade and to be honest I just feel its time for a change. So to my amazement I will be a Fireblade owner no longer as of Wednesday.

I placed my deposit and its finally arrived at Doble (yes its another Honda) and all being well I will be picking up a new CRF1000l (aka Africa Twin) in the same colours as my stolen Blade.

Im hoping I won't be ejected from what I consider to be the pinnacle of online forums for being bladeless, In fact Im harbouring a long term plan of Africa Twin for Road and a Blade for Track days just to itch the speed demon.

I would simply like to say that this forum and its members have been fantastic to me, generosity, listening ears, useful info and just real decent people.

You guys Rock I look forward to upsetting your Blade parade pictures with a big muddy Africa twin ;)

I'm trying to tempt a mate into buying the Africa Twin just now as he's in the market for a new bike.

Fancy a go of it too ;)

Your dead right which is why I had to test ride it, totally different sort of grin. Im sure Ill miss the top speed fun but I won't miss the loss of traction during the winter months. Im too old and stupid to keep riding supports bikes all year round in rain, sleet and frost. Hoping this will let me carry on being a lunatic in all wethers lol

Nice one fella. It's good to have a change. I recently got the Street Triple R and to be honest I've ridden it in more shit and rain than I ever did the Blade. They're made to be ridden. Just make sure you keep on top of the cleaning and cover everything with ACF50 and it'll be grand.
I'm not missing the top speed as you'd need a neck like the Hulk to do over 120 anyway. Its good to be different.

Pleased to see you are getting back on it Zippy, never nice to have one nicked and leaves you nervous for a while.

The African looks good mate enjoy it. Should be much more up to underwater riding than the Blade.

It's a Blade forum so bugger off and find a African forum (only joking mate :) )
