Have you checked you've not got ABS;)
Seriously tho,the rear brakes can be poor. Check it's not seized up a bit thru lack of use or fit a galfer wavy disc, works wonders:)

100% non abs. I've adjusted the rear master cylinder I'll see if that helps at all, if not then it's gonna have to be shiney bits

I've got the c-abs, however at low speeds it remains seperate functioning & yes I find the rear weak too, although it's fine for low speed urban riding etc

Depends what speed your trying to scrub off.... And if your using the fronts too, I've never found the rear lacking, but you could check the obvious, pads etc or perhaps you had something on the disc and its contaminated your pads, or they might benefit from a bleed, Just a though....

Just don't need the rear brake, more so in town but not out in the open

Really, I agree the Blade has not got the best rear brake. With ABS on stamp on the fecker at the whole thing just holts (even without the front lever)

I occasionally switch off the ABS to ensure I can still brake without electrickery!
ABS disabled it takes a little effort to lock but thats only with the clutch out, clutch in it locks pretty easy.
Perhaps as the rears are used all the time on an ABS the surfaces are already primed for use and the pistons are less like to stick?

I prefer it as a trailing brake you don't want it locking up imho, esp if on track

Its one of the things I will improve after fitting the oberon clutch slave.

I like to have a good feel on the rear brake as I use it to control speed in fast corners.

I found the rear brake shocking at the beginning at anything above car park speed. I was told it was indented to be so to avoid rear wheel lock.
It also means if you use it during cornering, you don't run the risk of unsettling the chassis.

I found changing the brake fluid to Motul 600 has greately improved the power (maybe the culprit was the factory filled fluid) so I suggest you change the fluid first you may be pleasantly surprised

I'm in the process of fitting a Brembo HPK Billet underslung caliper too.
Just love the look of it.

Yeh just waiting for some double figures in the temperature ... It looks a great set-up and can only think 2 Pistons have got to be better than 1, Plus its lighter and carrys the weight a lot lower down, not sure how the supersport disc will perform as it hasn't got that much surface area, I also had to remove a small amount of the leading edge of the swing arm support as I run my wheelbase a little shorter than normal and the mount wouldn't allow me to move the wheel that far forward:cool:... Only took around 4mm off the bottom corner and then repainted! It's mint now and can run the wheel the at the full adjustment scale:D

Just to add to this i removed the rear brake reservoir cap and removed the black rubber it was all misshaped, i removed what looked like the underside of a lid (probably from someones brake fluid bottle and tried to replace the piece of rubber but it seems to big in circumference like it doesn't sit inside the reservoir without being disfigured?

    Any help

    Rob

You should have the rubber diaphragm and a polystyrene white disc! The bit that looks like it's out of a bottle "it's not" it should be there
