my RR06 desperately needs a tail tidy, looking at an R&G, as i am shit scared of touching electrics, was wondering if the 'removing, splicing, re-connecting' of wiring is something a simpleton like me can do, or will I fuck it up? Happy to wimp out and take to a dealer to do if necessary but not if it's a piece of piss and they laugh at me

If you're using standard light and indicators, you won't have to do anything like that. maybe disconnecting/reconnecting the plugs to get the indicators through the holes, but that's it.
I went for the evotech tidy too. personal pref, but I prefer it.

They wouldn't laugh at you, just probably amongst themselves after they have your money.
Just gotta be careful taking the rear fairing off, as it can be a bit nerve racking when "easing" it off.

Cheers fella, i did a search through this forum, and the easing off seems to be a 'fun' aspect, did look for the evo tech but they only seem to be supplying 2010 model onwards :( By the sounds of it the sparky work is at my level, so will give it a stab. I'm happy to strip a KR-1S to a million pieces and put it back, but this Honda overwhelms me a bit...

Pretty sure the 2004-2005 fits the 2006-2007 too (r&g say 2004-2007, so mounting holes are the same I believe)

I got mine direct from evotech (mines 2004), but may have been discontinued. try these:

need R&G side bits for my 2006, but struggling to get 'em.

Anyone fitted one to RR6 without these? Do they just conceal a bit of pipe or are they necessary?

    Hi Mate.
R&G don't do the side pieces.
I don't know if there is a way to fit the standard plastic along with the tail tidy? Might be worth looking at.
Other alternative is the end cover you can get for the standard exhaust, but you still see a bit of the side.
Tbh, most people sod the original exhaust off for an after market, so don't mind seeing the sides.

Not the best pic showing them, but this is the R&G with the side pieces fitted.
