So who operates your CCTV, NASA?

As when I got touring who's going to see my bike then? Or you not allowed to go further than the lampposts outside your house?

End of the day the more security items you have and slow them down or put them off the better. More noise and effort gives more chance of putting them off.

As for an older bike not worth it, right, 2 bikes, one 2016, less about so stand out if parts are on eBay and there is more people with parts needed for old bikes which have been crashed or worn out due to miles, maybe??

Spot on Repsol Paul. most new bikes are fully comp and have less chance of being written off in an accident and get repaired, whereas the the older the bike gets the demand for spare parts/panels is there, plus a 2008 blade broken up feeds a drug habit for a few days...............no end of scum out there nicking this stuff 24 x 7.

shutty started a thread about personal plates the other day, I guess if he adds a 08 reg to it, he can leave it wherever the f*8k he likes and it wont go walkabout.

Did anyone see the cctv footage of the M1 BMW that was stolen under cameras, yes, great footage of a big lad, a skinny one and a medium one, in either hats or hoodies?
In the Hatton garden robbery there's a bloke they have called Basil, lots of footage but still haven't caught him yet or maybe they haven't put many man hours looking for him?

As for slating where people live ???
    Carlo ? Be nice.

Unless you like walking you'd not leave a C90 unlocked round here let alone a blade, I kid you not if it has two wheels the local oiks will have it for the woods at worse, or striped and on eBay for sale, tracker and all...lol

Just fit the tracker, it's your peace of mind no matter what anyone else thinks, your the one who will be laying in bed thinking is my bike still parked up, if you do fit it, say nothing to no one, however good the pro's are I can tell you as a qualified radio engineer that devices used to "block" the signal are hit and miss, no matter what they may use they will only be guessing if the signal is blocked, a split second of "miss" and alarm and GPS data will be sent, also the VHF beakon is hard to block! I know a few customers who are happy to do time over thumping the pricks who take bikes, they feel as I do, go ahead, have a try... some of us have a little something for the scum!

Well that went round the houses

I guess the price of the kit and annual fee is relative to the cost of the bike, wading through the feedback has helped, I can put cctv in the garage, a private 08 plate and if the highly unlikely possibility the bike dies go, I can watch 3 hoodies steal it, or me thinks I will get a tracker so at least I can see where in London the bike went

    Thanks all

Interestingly, MCE charge the same annual price to insure the blade with or without a tracker so it's down to me to give a shit

I don't think wifi reaches my garage for cameras, so ground anchor and tracker seem to be the way forwards

CCTV is only good for checking up, I.e alarm goes off, log in and see if you need to pronto to the garage, I have passed photo booth images to the police before and they have lead no where, only other good thing with CCTV is it resolves the mystery of how many, how did they get in, etc etc.. Best option is a good garage alarm, LOUD internal and external sirens smoke screen if you wish.. then good locks, ground anchor, see Almax chains. Once the bike is moved a tracker is your only real chance of getting it back, simple. Otherwise once the van door is closed you would not know if it was parked next door.
