I've fitted the above slip-on that I got from fleabay. The only thing missing was the captive nut/spacer on the strap.

The strap sits at an angle to the holder on my rearsets, so I'm assuming the captive nut is angled? Has anyone got the same slip on so they can take a pic for me?

This is the one I am referring to:

That's not mine, just a pic off tinternet.

    Cheers :)

It is an angled spacer yes.

Can't get you a pic though as the bikes round at my parents just now.

Cheers Colin, I need to find or make the 2nd angled fitting from the left then as that is missing.

Do you not have that on the standard can mate? It should be attached to the OEM rearsets.

Pretty sure that's what I've used.

The standard slip on was loose when I got the bike so I think it was lost by the guy that took it off.

Check the standard rearset if you still have it as it may well still be attached to that.

Won't take the whole thing off for you!

The angled spacer seems to be part of the akro bracket.

You've also got a spacer in the mount and a washer on the outside which I think are factory.

Cheers matey, yeah the angled spacers come as part of the akro bracket, but when I got mine they were missing for some reason. It's 2nd hand but new and never fitted.

I think new straps are the best part of £100 so I will make a spacer up.

    Good luck.

If you use the baffle, make sure it's done up nice and tight with a tooth lock washer! Just learnt the hard way!

Hey i ordered a few spares for my Akra just like this one, all original Akra bits and they were on Ebay, you could ask them if they have just the 2 bits of the bolt that fit round the strap..
I'll go look in my eBay history for you if you like.

Those two tapered fittings only come with the strap as they are glued on at factory, I was lucky and pick up a knackered strap that had them in and prised them out and swopped over to my strap

totally unrelated to your question but is this the road legal version with CAT, O2 sensor fitting and built in exhaust valve + cable?
