    Hi All,

Not sure what to do so would be good to get some guidance. I'm currently on a brembo master cylinder with standard calipers and GPFAX pads. The braking setup seems good to me but I still get arm pump from having to squeeze the brakes so hard over a 20 minute session. Does anyone have a set of Brembo M4 calipers on their blade and remember how much of an upgrade they were from the stock calipers? I'm on two finger braking, are full brembo's a one finger deal or is that reserved for Moto GP?

    Cheers all.

Cheaper way would be to do arm exercises to start to avoid the arm pump! Perhaps try one of the spring grip things to build up your forearms, is what I used to do a few weeks before riding again in the spring to avoid wrist and arm ache, also use one of the gyro balls to help

Then if that doesnt help upgrade the brakes

It's only my braking arm that gets pumped and it only happens when I'm racing but not on trackdays. I think I must try a lot harder and relax a lot less during a race! Would be good to know if anyone has any experience of the Brembo upgrade though. It would be a shame to drop a bunch of cash and not get much improvement. Thanks for the exercise tips but I'm actually VERY accustomed to arm pump as I'm a climber but I don't seem to be able to get over it in a race situation.

to be honest I dont think you feel a massive improvement to avoid the arm pump. I upgraded to M4's first, then the MC and although I did notice a difference on each upgrade, would it stop arm pump I'm not convinced. your brake set up is pretty good already, so my tuppence is that it wouldnt be worth it.

I've got brembo m4's on my road bike, I felt a fair bit of difference as upgraded both the mc and calipers at the same time, oem calipers were 6 years old at the time with oem pads

A mate changed his at a similar time and said they don't fade like the oem do later in the day and felt like they had more bite so to speak and he does track days with them!

Hpk'S will make a bigger difference

Wow, I thought the general vibe was going to be "Best thing ever, sell a kidney, make it happen". Glad I asked now!
