So looking at a new set of tyres for this season the ones that where on it when i bought it are bout 600-1000 miles from being done, question is what tyres.......

Im looking for performance but miles, i don't want to be changing my tyres every 2500 miles..

    I am torn :(

p.s all them prices are just tyre not fitted.

Pirelli DRC got 3.5k miles out of the last one

If you haven't already get your suspension set up as that helps tyre wear

I don't understand how you guys over there are getting so many miles out of your tyres? We are lucky to get 2000km out of a set of Pirelli DRCs.

Possibly the cooler weather? Like I said having your suspension set up properly helps with tyre life too

dunlop sportsmarts for me. Every other rear tyre i have used i got 2000m max . i get over 4000m on the sportmax sportsmarts . I then put them on my track bike when the centres are getting low . i did an open pit lane at cadwell on wednesday and still got a full day on the rear. my mate had a go on my bike as his was playing up and he commented on how good the tyres were .

That sort of mileage is about what I'm getting on Sportsmarts and I'm super happy with that. I've just put on a set of Q3s because my mates and I did a bulk order and got them ridiculously cheap, it will be interesting to see how they go. I was going to swap over to Pirellis DRC but got scared off by all the talk of chewing through them in under 2000km. Suspension has been resprung and valved and tyre wear looks good, maybe it is the climate difference.

I have old Dunlop Sportmax's on my RR9 bike. I think they are the same tyres the bike came with. I think i'll change them though as I don't get any feel from the front end.

Prices for the M7's are a bit high. Should easily be able to get a pair for less than £200 delivered.

I just ordered some M7 RR from tyre leader an they came in 3 days / DPD tracking. Very good price

I bought a rear 190/55. I have RR7 so I am trying a 55 rather than the 50 which I have on now. I hope it fits under the rear hugger???? Anyone else running a 190/55 on a RR6 or RR7

I was just looking on the M&P website and they have got a few 190/50 in stock at a decent price although I didn't check their delivery price!

By the way, for once and all!! Can somebody tell me what's the diference (besides de size) of riding on a 190/50 or 55?

    50 lower good for road
55 higher good for track because you lean more??

    Am right?
    Any expert?

    Thanks.
