has anybody been able to make a hrc Carbon hugger fit their abs model ?
The design doesn't seem to be the same as a standard hugger. Out of 4 mounting points 3 are all fine, the problem lies with the last one to the lowest right hand side point on swing arm. There is a bracket which clamps around the brake hose, same bracket has a piece coming of which holds the abs cable. I can't move the hugger outwards enough to line the hole in the hugger with tapped hole in swing arm as the hugger hits the rubber around the abs cable. Also cannot move the bracket as it has a locator pin underneath which drops into a hole in the swing arm.
Don't know the best thing to do, maybe lop a quarter of an inch off the offending area on bottom off hugger, or try bending the abs cable bracket etc. Don't want a bodge really. Quite hard to explain so here is a pic.

It's the rubber it's hitting on ,far side of pip if I file the pip off there will be nothing holding the abs cable in place, don't wanna bodge with cable ties really

If your hugger has the normal metal bracket with two holes for the hugger and one to mount it then it does fit so don't hack anything.
I think the hugger bracket goes over the brake hose one, will have a look at mine.

There isn't 2 holes it's mounted via 3 holes with rubber grommets inside and spacers . If I can't sort it'll be getting flogged . Supposed to be £295 got for £240 delivered . May end up having to buy summat else

Ah, right. I thought that it was the same fitting as all the other genuine Honda hugger a with the two bolts you can see at the side or mine.

Put it under the hugger like mine, see photo above.

Excuse the flaking paint as I didn't use etching premier when I sprayed it same colour as bike.

Just watch out for the ABS sensor wire routing as it goes under the hugger. This is the second ABS blade I've had and fitted this way with no problem Stevie.

Notice you have the baffle for your Akra, does it make much difference.
Just tried my bike down the road, it's bloody loud, I would say Racefit loud or more !

It's fairly loud with baffle in , leaving it in until I run the bike in , not that it'll make much difference . Dunno how much louder it will be with no baffle
