PayPal Query

I've been refunded some money wrongly taken from my mobile account. They have sent it by PayPal but the email says I don't need a PayPal account to collect it?!? I don't have an account as it happens. PayPal have sent me an email on how to get my refund but when I click on the refund link it just takes me to the PayPal site & requests I open an account!
So.....do I need to have an account anyone?
Im a bit aggrieved if I do as I try to avoid as much of this internet jiggerypokery as possible

 

Total scam you have to have your bank linked to your paypall and confirmed ,you will get your fingers burnt if you proceed

 

You will need a paypall accfor the recipient to pay you with email address

 

No it's genuine, it's that Big games app linked to EE. I've spoken with them & have emails confirming they were in the wrong to debit my phone account. It's not a huge amount of money but it's the principal I guess.

Thanks Greame, there's a customer care number to ring in case of problems so ill try it tomorrow & see what they say, that's very kind of you.

 

If they pay you via paypal surely you will incur charges and if it's less than £50 it also costs you to withdraw Check that out before you agree

 

Thanks, I've got to ring the number they've given me so ill query that tomorrow. It's only for a small amount but it's the principal that they've been billing me for it when I didn't sign up!
